A light morning meal will leave you feeling energized and ready to begin the day. Juices and fruits are perfect for breakfast, since they are high in nutrients yet low in calories and easy to digest. They are much more healthy than eating fried eggs and bacon! Not only that, when you wake in the morning your stomach is empty, so this is an optimal time to cleanse your insides with a smoothie. If you're having trouble with constipation, this can end that very quickly.
If you need something heavier in the morning try the Quinoa cereal with almond milk.

- 2 Cups water
- 1/2 Cup pear, thinly sliced, or blueberries
- 1/2 Tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tsp of flax seed oil
- Almond milk (available at the health food store or you can make your own)

quinoa and add to water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 5

seeds and almond milk.
Makes 2 servings.
Make Your Own Almond Milk
- 2-1/2 Cups water
- 11/2 Cups soaked almonds
- 3 Pitted medjool dates, soaked
- 1/2-teaspoon vanilla extract
Place 1-1/2 cups of the water, almonds, dates, and vanilla in a blender. Blend on high speed until very smooth. Add the remaining 1 cup of water and blend until smooth.
Place a fine-mesh strainer over a medium bowl and pour the almond mixture through it. Using a rubber spatula, stir and press the pulp that is caught in the strainer to extract as much milk as possible. Alternatively, use a sprout bag to strain the milk.
Discard the pulp left in the strainer. Transfer the milk to a sealed container and store in the refrigerator. Almond milk will keep for five days. It will separate, so shake well before using.
I love chia seeds and my favorite way to eat them is just sprinkled on my cereal. It's easy and it adds a nice little crunchiness to the mix! I have been buying my seeds online at a place called www.TheChiaSeed.com and they've been great...have you ever ordered from them?
