Juice fasting eliminates typical mucous-forming foods from our diet. Yuck, you say . . . and then ask, “What are mucous-forming foods?” Guess what? They’re found in most of our pantries and refrigerators! Foods such as dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt and meats, fowl and eggs, just to name a few.
Juice fasting accomplishes the task of removing this leftover mucous, dead and damaged cells, other foreign material, and gunk that stays trapped in our digestive systems. Juice fasting also supplies adequate amounts of nutrients that the body can utilize to heal more efficiently.
The entire cycle is incredibly powerful and regenerating, and the best thing is, you already have the capability of creating this process. Juice fasting has another very positive benefit: rapid weight loss! I know a woman who started her juice fast for health reasons and lost one pound a day for 28 days.
She ended the fast within five pounds of her target weight goal. This is not an unusual occurrence. You have the potential to feel so much better about yourself with a juice fast program. The best part is that you can SEE the results quickly, with your own eyes!
Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. It probably took some time to develop bad eating habits, toxicity, and weight gain, so be patient during the cleansing process. Your body will accommodate changes at its own speed. Some people may lose weight and feel better right away, while for others, the process may take a little longer.
Remember that everyone’s metabolism is different, and height, weight, muscle mass and fat has a lot to do with the speed and efficiency with which your body will react to the juice fast. Regardless, you WILL feel re energized after you rid your body of toxins that your body has been storing in your fat cells.
Give yourself a head start on your new beginnings by taking the first step toward regaining optimal health. Start slow, make changes gradually and you’ll be amazed at how much better you feel in a matter of days.
