I met Nancy in 2003. I was suffering from a very bad bout of hives and had been to Doctors, Allergists, a Naturopath, and a Chinese Herbalist. I found Nancy's business card when visiting the Café she ran at the time. I made an appointment with her. She analyzed what I was eating and also asked me to describe what was going on in my life. She gave me a number of recommendations and off I went to relieve these bouts.
Over the next few years we worked together as each other's clients. She helped me with Nutrition and I helped her a bit with her technology issues. My work has always been feast or famine, so when I was underemployed, I volunteered at some of her workshops and guided cleanses. When over-employed, I had to miss everything - but still tried to follow her advice. I always felt great when I was spending time with Nancy.
The hives are gone and so are a few other issues. I still have a ways to go, but Nancy gave me a great base to work with and it's up to me how quickly I make the changes.
When I was selling my house in the country, I found out my well was full of E.coli bacteria. I immediately emailed Nancy to ask her what I should do about my exposure, and she immediately emailed me back and told me the protocol I should follow. I felt better in days.
For a very long time I'd been trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grow up. In working with Nancy and watching her work with others, I started to see myself working in the field of Nutrition and doing what Nancy does. Over the past 5 years a number of things have fallen into place and I'm now in school studying for my R.N.C.P.
When I found out Nancy was moving from Georgetown to Bancroft, I was saddened because I enjoyed her company. I'm so very happy for her that she's following her dream and living "off the grid" with Yvan.
Nancy has been a true Mentor to me and if I'm half the Nutritionist she is, I know I'll be happy and successful.
