1) Treat the Cause, Not the Symptoms - Dealing with symptoms is the same as spraying air freshener in a smelly room. It might cover the odor for a short period of time, but eventually the odor will come back. This is where you must transcend conventional thinking and be innovative and alternative.
2) Good Foods vs. Bad Foods - Pay attention to what you put in your body and eat foods that contain live enzymes and nutrients. You need certain elements to maintain healthy tissue and create lasting health.
3) Banish the Acid - Many people use stress as an excuse to pursue an unhealthy diet, seeking quick energy or comfort through acid-forming foods; however, even during times of stress the acid/alkaline balance of your body needs to be managed.
4) Abolish Congestion - Your body is a whole functioning unit, not single parts working side by side. When things become congested, your entire body is affected.
5) Give your Tummy a "Clean Sweep" - Even a thin layer of mucoid plaque can zap your energy and weaken the immune system. A diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables helps flush away that yucky stuff.
6) Make Friends with Good Bacteria - Bacteria get a bad name, but there are actually some types that are good for you, especially in your digestive system. Good bacteria help you digest your food, but bad bacteria can cause an overall deterioration of the digestive process, even causing gas and indigestion.
7) Don’t Forget Your Head - Have you ever heard the phrase, She made herself sick? Your body and mind are powerfully connected, which means that handling your thoughts and emotions is just as important as what you put into your body.
There are few of us wouldn’t look forward to living a long and healthy life, and what better way to achieve this than the way nature intended? Our bodies are designed to be able to heal themselves if we give them the correct tools, which is exactly what detoxification is all about.
