I've been getting your newsletters for a few months and really love them. I also bought your Seven Day Sugar Free plan and, while far from sugar free, I and my family are increasingly on the right track. Thanks for being a great motivator!
I am a heart patient (born with congenital murmur, have an artificial valve and have literally returned from the dead so I'm much better and must continue improving) and I have been interested in good nutrition (subscribed to Prevention in the 70s), yoga and a healthy lifestyle most of my life.
Along with finding YOU last year, for which I again express my heartfelt (!) gratitude, I was introduced to therapeutic grade essential oils. Maybe you are already a member of Young Living Essential Oils. If not, I encourage you to learn more about them (and ask that if you do decide to order their products or "sign up," please allow me to be your sponsor).
You can learn more about these products from many websites, including:
www.youngliving.com
aromatherapy4u.wordpress.com
Of course, you can also order or sign-up directly from these locations, but then I do not benefit from (perhaps) introducing you to these amazing products (just reply to me if you wish, I don't have my own website).
I live in a small village in northern Germany, which has many benefits but putting together a healthier lifestyle requires some extra creativity. Fortunately, I am an extremely creative type of person -- so much so my family jokes that I never cook the same dish twice (they exaggerate somewhat).
Some of the simple pleasures we enjoy are homemade granola, which I make each month fresh (it's delicious and if you'd like I'd be happy to share my recipe), homemade whole-grain/honey muffins and homemade salad dressings with cold-pressed oils (check out "Flo's Tart and Tangy" in the New Recipes from Moosewood Restaurant Cookbook!).
Since reading your posts and e-book, I am eating a LOT more fresh raw foods (don't yet have a juicer). Every morning when I pack the kids lunches, I fix all of us plenty of fresh raw munchies to snack on until lunch. I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but I used to pack a great morning "feedbag" for everyone else and forget myself, only to get sidetracked and tempted mid-morning. But not anymore! With a bowl of fresh fruits or veggies on the counter, I already know what I want and it's already ready!
Also (and again I THANK YOU!) I am now dedicated to a rest time or evening fast that typically runs from about 7:00 p.m. until -- until I'm ready to do a few sun salutations and drink some fresh squeezed lemon juice.
